Nestled at 19 Pattys Pl, this charm-filled restaurant delivers a delightful fusion of traditional cuisine and comforting flavors that will surely make your taste buds dance.

At Asuka, the menu is a treasure trove of Japanese delights. The star of the show is undoubtedly their varied selection of curries, each lovingly prepared to perfection. Dive into the satisfying Teriyaki Tofu Curry, where cubed tofu is generously glazed with teriyaki sauce, served atop a fluffy bed of rice and enveloped in a savory curry sauce accented with tender chunks of diced carrots – all for just A$17.10. For those who favor a heartier option, the Tonkotsu Curry is a must-try at A$19.30, boasting rich, flavorful pork balanced perfectly with aromatic spices. Vegetarians will melt with joy over the Vegetable Tempura Curry, where crispy tempura vegetables sit majestically on a mound of rice, smothered in a luscious curry sauce with sweet, tender carrots and potatoes, priced at A$17.10.

And if you're after something crispy and comforting, the Boneless Fried Chicken ($11.00) offers juicy morsels with a golden-brown crunch that beckons for a second helping. Paired beautifully with the soul-warming Miso Soup ($4.50), a bowl of this traditional concoction infused with miso paste and crowned with tofu cubes is sure to warm your spirit.

The atmosphere at Asuka is as inviting as their food. Imagine enjoying your meal in a cozy yet refined setting, where the friendly staff enhance your dining experience with attentive service each time. Customer 'Debbie Ovelar' raves about their warm hospitality, eagerly anticipating the lovely outdoor seating when warmer days come, showcasing the allure of a leisurely meal in the sun.

Real praise for Asuka also comes from 'Joshua Quiring', who highlights the freshness of their ingredients, especially the seafood and sushi rolls, indicating the establishment’s commitment to quality. Meanwhile, ‘Yvonne Sydney’ appreciates the authentic taste of the sushi and invites others to explore the diverse offerings that cater to every palate – including those who seek a slightly more Western twist on traditional flavors.

Though some reviews suggest the pricing edges towards the higher side for the local area, 'Shawn Francis' assures potential diners that value prevails with generous portions, especially with their bento box. Asuka Japanese Kitchen proves to be the perfect spot not only for its delightful dishes but also for the exceptional care provided through every step of your dining journey.

Whether you’re a sushi enthusiast, a curry lover, or someone who finds joy in crispy fried delicacies, Asuka Japanese Kitchen is sure to satisfy your cravings. Stop by to indulge your senses and create a delicious memory!

I would say it's pretty westernised Japanese food. We bought two sushi rolls. The rice is cooked right. Taste is good. Will try other dishes next time.

Good Japanese food. A bit on the expensive end for Penrith but decent portions. The bento box is a good pick
